The topic raised by the author is very interesting and necessary in the modern world, especially in the face of numerous crises, reaching back to the eternal formula of marriage and family in the Creator’s mind. Focus on the male point of view of marital love and at the same time selection of such outstanding thinkers as Karol Wojtyła, Dietrich von Hildebrand, Józef Tischner and Ferdinand Ebner refresh the original view of the human person, their sexuality and role in society. All this makes Przemysław Zientkowski’s book worth your attention.

In his book, Przemysław Zientkowski expresses the philosophical courage to write about a marital community grounded in love, which until recently had been treated as a completely obvious and most appropriate expression of interpersonal love in the world. This truth about man today, which means in the era of philosophical promotion of the idea of changeable human nature, is not so obvious any more; what is more – it is even questioned from time to time. For these reasons the publication should be welcomed with appreciation since it is an important contribution to the contemporary philosophy of education.

The book by Przemysław Zientkowski raises very important issues for many reasons. In particular it highlights the importance of the issue of the human person, understood metaphysically as a being of a spiritual nature, endowed with self-awareness, therefore capable of spiritual development, and at the same time free, enabling self-determination as well as a being that is potentially creative and morally responsible, who expresses himself/herself in his/her actions and works.
